 Ageod’s Civil War masterpiece expanded

 Civil War 2 – The Bloody Road South is now ready for you to buy. This is the expansion of the Grand Strategy Game set in the American Civil War by Ageod. Take command of either the Confederate or the Union armies at the turning point of the war and fight hard along the bloody roads that lead south.

The Bloody Road South features seven scenarios spanning from 1862 to 1864; with smaller scenarios focusing on some crucial battles like Gettysburg, annual campaigns in the eastern and western theaters in the critical year 1862, and grand campaigns with later starting points for each of the years after 1861.

The Bloody Road Southis an intense turn-based strategy game in which the players are not only in charge of recruiting units, organizing armies and fleets and maneuvering  them, but also in dealing with important economic, political and diplomatic questions.

All scenarios can be played from both Confederate and Union sides:

Battle Scenarios

• 1863 – Thunder at the Crossroads (June-July 1863, Battle of Gettysburg)

• 1864 – Make Georgia Howl (July-October 1864, Battle of Atlanta)

One Theater Annual Campaign Scenarios

• 1862 – Eastern Theater

• 1862 – Western Theater

Grand Campaigns with all Theater Scenarios, later starts

• 1862-1865 – Struggle for the Heartland

• 1863-1865 – Triumph & Defeat

• 1864-1865 – Bloody Roads South

 

The Bloody Road South is NOT a standalone release, and requires the original Civil War IIto play.

The 1918 Kaiserschlacht (or Spring Offensive) was the last attempt by the German High Command to make a breakthrough in the Western Front.

On the 21st  of March 1918, a series of attacks along the front line held by the British Fifth and Third Army began. Strengthened by divisions coming from the Eastern Front and with an extended use of troops trained in infiltration and assault tactics (Stormtroopers), the Germans were able to achieve the largest territory advance of the war.

However, this all-out offensive didn’t gain a decisive victory. The Germans lost irreplaceable veteran troops and the conquest of the new territories resulted in hard to defend positions with a supply line that was stretched too far.

The shadow of the Thirty Years War hit the British Isles in 1625, as Charles I became King of England. Accustomed to a weaker Scottish Parliament, the new King found fiercer opposition from the Parliament in London.

Now, only two decades later, open war has started with the Royalists facing the Parliamentarians, and the conflict is raging in England and Scotland.

The Country is at odds, its population forced to take a side and torn apart by religious divisions.
